Established in November of 2015, Pork Belly Cafe is the first venture of two restaurant industry veterans. After a combined 40+ years of delivering solid results for other restaurant and business owners, Chris Chwirut and Kristian Morgan decided to strike out on their own. They shared a desire to begin a new path with food and service back at the center of the experience. After many, many months of planning, the right space and time presented themselves and Pork Belly brand was born; the first concept being Pork Belly Cafe. The food, coffee, and the atmosphere do not disappoint either of these guys. They promise not to disappoint you! Come see for yourself what quality and value look like in the tastiest of packages. Together, Chris and Kristian intend to bring back a personal touch to the community that they now call home at Pork Belly Cafe!
Chris, right, is a Northeast Ohio native with over 20 years of experience in restaurants, hotels, and full-service dining. He spent the majority of his career honing his craft in Honolulu, Hawaii, where he started his career as a General Manager. Chris has held several General Manager and Beverage Director positions, where he developed a knack for turning around the culture and revenue stream for these businesses. He thrives on providing quality service to all his guests. Chris and his wife, Meg, have lived in Tennessee since 2010 and have made the Music City their home.
Kristian, left, is a Nashville native with strong roots in middle Tennessee with over 20 years of restaurant and culinary experience. He has worked in several food service operations as Executive Chef or Sous Chef in the Nashville area. Kristian is a well-versed teacher and mentor, and spent four years as a culinary instructor with The Art Institute. He brings a well-balanced understanding of all aspects of food and beverage management. Kristian is a proud father of three active, fun-loving children. They are his inspiration and motivation in life.
In September 2018, Pork Belly Farmhouse opened our doors in Historic Nolensville. Our passion for contemporary southern cuisine is equaled only by our modern vision for southern hospitality.
